Purpose:

To design or evaluate a department whose function is to maintain and operate a facility or facilities. To assure that the staff selected have the necessary skills and maintenance understanding to provide the required maintenance actions and provide for future education of the staff.

Provide for a proper and adequate workshop, tools and inventory so as to provide for an effective staff and provide efficient maintenance. Develop inventory control that is easy and simple, establish tours, watches, service request forms and provide a general engineering department policy guide.
